US - Day 1 Segment 1 - TJ to San Diego to Del Mar!

Second sag stop. Ruocco Park in San Diego. This is an art installation created by the artist Roman de Salvo called "The Riparium"

Second sag stop. Behind you can see the USS Midway. A naval ship that is docked and has turned into a naval museum for visitors to see what it's like inside a naval ship.

A wonderful and successful end to the first segment of Day 1. What a great and energetic team!
For some riders, this was there first time on the road, but they rode up to 30 miles before joining the sag support. Wow!
Some of the riders are heading back home, while others continue on the road to Goleta!!
A BIG HAND TO ALL THE RIDERS!!!

A well deserved meal for all! These are the group of riders and sag support that will be continuing on the next day! They will either be going from Del Mar to Redondo Beach or Redondo Beach to Port Hueneme
