Message from Dean to Jean-Marc Hubsch !

'A very big THANKYOU to Jean-Marc Hubsch and everyone at BEI Sensors for organising a very memorable reception and night out in Strasbourg.

After covering so many Kilometres, iwas fantastic to experience such strong welcome.

The trip around Strasbourg made us all realise how beautiful it is, with great monuments, excellent Choucroute, not to mention the beer!!!'

Last Preparation Meeting:

The Crouzet team held their final organisation in preparation for their Bike Ride Valence - Strasbourg. With 10 riders split into 2 teams (mountain and road bikers), plus 2 logistics support, (Camille Machet et Swetlana Galas), we hope to cover the whole distance. As you may remember last year we had to cancel a section due to snow.
Hopefully by running the event end September we won't have this problem.
The mountain bike team will be leaving the Valence factory at around 8h30AM Friday 27 September.

The CST Bike Ride 2013 is ready to go !

Building on last year's event, the CST Bike Challenge has become a truely worldwide action with over 100 participants in Mexico, USA, India, China, UK, Germany and France, all riding bikes, and amazingly, some playing badminton.

Our initial objective was to cover the 6000 miles (9500 km) that separate the CST sites of Strasbourg, France and Tijuana, Mexico.

However, the number of participants is much higher than we ever expected and so our best estimation is now  around 14,000 km.  Working on the same principles as last year, we invite everyone to play the CSR guessing game and try to guess the total cumulated distance that will be covered by bikers and badminton players (the Chinese team are using the latest technology to measure the distance they run!).  The 2 best guesses will both receive an iPAD MINI.

Your local CSR volunteer is available to help collect your guesses and donations.  And don't forget, all funds collected will be matched by CST and donated to your locally chosen charity.

We will be blogging everyday so that you can follow the event live!

Good luck to everyone and thank you for your precious support!

First International CSR Bike Training:

1st International CST Bike Training Ride
This week we held the FIRST EVER truely international training session;
Carlos Hernandez and Andrew Mansmann joined Dean Whittaker for a 'short' ride to Saint Romain de Lerps, near to the CST site in Valence, France.
45 Km and 400 Metres of level difference after a gruelling day on the JDE Finance was a real challenge (We thought we'd better put this in to re-assure Lynn!) and I confirm that Carlos and Andrew are ready for the CST Bike Challenge§
